Everything was rebuilt in 2019: level hardstanding, a service bollard on every pitch, and fast WiFi across the site. There is no facilities block, so you will need to be self-contained.
On every pitch
- 9 m by 9 m hardstanding
- Large, level and firm all year. Room for the outfit, an awning and a car.
- 16 amp electric hook-up
- Metered. 10 kWh a night is included in the pitch fee.
- Fresh water and grey waste
- Both at the bollard, so no carrying containers across the field.
- Free, fast WiFi
- Covers all five pitches. No vouchers and no hourly limits.
Around the site
- Chemical disposal point
- A proper CDP, plus a rinsing tap. We have a septic tank, so please only use ‘green’ chemicals.
- Rubbish and recycling
- Separate bins for general waste and recycling.
- EV charging, 22 kW
- A hundred yards from the CL with a dedicated bay. Operated by EV.dot.
- Electric gates and CCTV
- The entrance is gated and covered. Your code arrives two days before arrival.
- Information pack
- Walks, pubs, opening times and the things worth driving to. Provided on arrival and in your welcome email.
- No toilet or shower
- There is no facilities block of any kind. Please come fully self-contained, and with green CDP chemicals.
How the electricity works
Each bollard is metered. The pitch fee includes 10 kilowatt hours a night, which is comfortably more than most outfits use outside winter. Anything beyond that is charged at cost price, 30p a unit including VAT, and settled when you leave.
The 22 kW EV charge point is a separate thing entirely. It is for electric cars, it has its own parking bay a hundred yards from the CL, and it is billed through the operator rather than by us.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome and there is no charge for them. Mapped circular walks of ten minutes to three hours start at the gate, so you can leave the car where it is for a week if you want to.
- Several waymarked routes around the farm itself, from ten to forty minutes.
- Longer circulars over the local footpaths and bridleways.
- A maximum of two dogs per pitch.
- Livestock on the farm, so dogs on leads please.
